Raising this as the parent line rather than as a critic. If the Assembly gathers once a year to read a century-scale ledger, the gathering is plainly an act that outlives the actor. So does it go in the ledger?

It does not, because then the ledger is mostly about itself within three generations. That is double entry and it is how records stop meaning anything.
