History & overview · every faith gets one
An online ascension movement centered on Amy Carlson as Mother God.
Love Has Won was a religious movement centered on Amy Carlson, whom followers revered as Mother God. A small residential community was connected to a wider online audience. The original group fractured after Carlson’s death in 2021. It is the subject of the HBO documentary Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God.
In 2020 the FDA and FTC challenged COVID-19 claims for colloidal-silver products marketed through the group’s websites. After Carlson’s remains were found in 2021, seven adults were initially charged; those charges were later dropped. Accounts of life in the residential group include allegations of coercion and abuse, which remain reported allegations rather than criminal convictions.
Why it is filed this way
A distinct new religious movement centered on Carlson’s authority. No single institutional parent is established.
This page covers the original Carlson-led group through 2021. 5D Full Disclosure and Joy Rains are reported successors, not interchangeable names for the original group.
The founding
The movement developed around Carlson’s online teaching and later a residential circle. Its own spiritual origin narratives do not establish a single verified organizational founding date.
Its founding is bound to Amy Carlson.
