History & overview · every faith gets one

God wants the heart — serve in joy.

The revival movement of the Baal Shem Tov: divinity saturating the ordinary, joy outranking scholarly rank, and the rebbe's court — table, melody, and tale — as the school of the soul. Born in eighteenth-century Podolia; now the most visible face of traditionalist Judaism.

The founding

An itinerant healer and amulet-writer taught that a sincere melody from an unlettered Jew can outweigh cold brilliance — and the courts of the rebbes grew from his table.

Its founding is bound to The Baal Shem Tov — 1740 CE.

What it holds

Reality. No place is empty of Him — divinity saturates the ordinary.

The divine. One God.

Death and after. The world to come.
