A node is an idea, sized by how many faiths hold it. A line means the faiths that hold one tend to hold the other — drawn only where that happens far more often than chance would explain, so the lines mark the pairs that travel together rather than the pairs that are merely both popular. Nothing here is coloured: every hue on this site belongs to a faith, and an idea does not own one.

58 ideas and 145 pairs. The clusters are not our shelves — the shelves are a filing convenience and this is what the corpus actually does.

Ideas are how two faiths get compared. Every entry here is a place faiths can meet — open one to see each faith's own wording side by side, or see the faiths themselves arranged by which of these they share.

An idea is Panfaith's comparison instrument: a shared vocabulary that lets one faith's claims be matched against every other's.

An entry never sums up a religion. It marks one place where faiths can meet. Two faiths carrying grace have agreed about a word, not about a doctrine — open the entry and their own phrasings sit side by side, disagreements included.

The shelves are ours, not theirs. Six groupings, plus new arrivals for anything the shelves have not absorbed yet. No tradition organises itself this way; the shelves exist so 58 entries can be scanned rather than scrolled — and the Web view is where you can watch them fail, because the clusters the corpus makes are not the drawers we put things in.

A line in the Web is company, not agreement. Two ideas are joined when the faiths holding one are disproportionately the faiths holding the other — at least three of them, and only where that happens far more often than chance would explain. The multiplier on a pair is exactly that: faiths holding both, divided by how many would if holding one told you nothing about the other. Plain overlap would join everything to ritual, which is a picture of how common ritual is and not of how anything relates. And none of it says two faiths agree — two traditions can hold grace and mean irreconcilable things by it.

Reach counts families, not followers. The third view bands each idea by how many separate roots of the tree hold it. That is the only measure here that means anything about travel: sibling denominations sharing an idea inherited it, while two unrelated roots holding the same thing is the coincidence this whole site exists to show you. Neither band is a rank — an idea held inside one family is not a lesser idea, it is a more particular one.

The faith count is what Panfaith has tagged. It counts claims recorded on this site, not scholarly consensus about who believes what — a thinly written faith carries fewer ideas than a well written one, and that is a fact about our backlog rather than about the religion.
