The Brahma Kumaris

Movement·Founded 1937 CE·The organisation reports more than one million students at over 8,000 centres in about 110 countries. Students are counted by attendance at the daily class, not by conversion, so the figure means something different from a membership roll.

The Brahma Kumaris

Branch
Core tenet of The Brahma Kumaris

The cycle is 5,000 years and it repeats exactly.

World history is a wheel of four ages that comes round identically, and the present moment is the confluence just before it turns. Every teaching in the system depends on this timing.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held

The cycle runs 5,000 years through four ages — golden, silver, copper, iron — and then repeats identically, down to the detail. Every soul plays the same part again. This is not a metaphor in Brahma Kumaris teaching and it is where the system parts company with mainstream Hindu cosmology, whose yugas run to hundreds of thousands of years. The present moment is the confluence age, the short hinge between iron and golden when God is said to be teaching directly through the Murli. That timing is the reason for the urgency: the window for the teaching is now, and it closes.
