Shiva — a point of light that is never born.
The Supreme Soul is incorporeal, has no body and takes no birth. The Brahma Kumaris distinguish this figure from the Hindu deity of the same name deliberately and at length.
The Supreme Soul is called Shiva and is not the Shiva of the Hindu pantheon, and the Brahma Kumaris are careful about the distinction: incorporeal, never born, a point of light rather than a figure, without consort or family or iconography. He is said to enter the body of a human medium to speak the Murli, which is how the daily class is understood to be his direct word. The Hindu deities, including Krishna and Lakshmi and Narayan, are read as human souls who lived in the golden age of the cycle and were later worshipped as gods. This reading is why the organisation resists being classified as a branch of Hinduism.
I am a point of light, and so are you.
