Decrees, spoken fast and out loud.

Not silent prayer: a decree is repeated aloud at increasing speed, sometimes for hours, and is held to focus light on a named condition. It is the practice outsiders find strangest and members find most useful.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this rite is held

Decreeing is what visitors remember. A decree is a short formula addressed to the I AM Presence and a named master, spoken aloud and repeated at increasing speed — often for a fixed count, often in unison, sometimes for hours at a conference. The theory is that the spoken word carries the energy and that speed and repetition raise the charge. Practitioners report physical effects and describe long decree sessions as arduous work rather than as devotion. The best-known formula, the violet flame decree attached to Saint Germain, has spread far outside the church into general New Age practice, usually with no idea of where it came from.
