Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this rite is held

The transmission of the cellular plan is performed on four dates a year, which the movement fixes by its own reading of religious history, and requires a formal letter of apostasy from any religion the person was raised in. A guide places a water-wet hand on the forehead and the neck while the person concentrates, and the movement holds that the Elohim register the individual's genetic code at that moment. It is the only compulsory rite. Members describe the apostasy letter as the harder half — several national churches have had to build procedures for handling them.
