Branch
Core tenet of Samaritanism

Moses is the only prophet.

One lawgiver, one law; the Taheb — a restorer like Moses — will come to set all things right.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held

Because the prophetic books are not scripture, Samaritan theology has no Isaiah, no Ezekiel, and no messianic development from them: Moses is the only prophet, and the expected figure is the Taheb, a restorer in Moses's pattern rather than a Davidic king. The community numbers roughly 800 people split between Mount Gerizim and Holon, which makes it one of the smallest continuously surviving religious groups on earth.
