What it teachesThe killings that the organisation has never stopped asking about, and for which no one has been convicted
Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held

On the morning of 30 April 1982, seventeen Ananda Marga monks and nuns travelling in vehicles through south Kolkata were stopped near Bijon Setu, dragged out, beaten, and burned to death in the street in daylight. The organisation was in open conflict with the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) at the time. No one has ever been convicted; a one-man commission of inquiry was appointed decades later and its findings have been disputed. Ananda Marga marks the date annually and has continued to press for prosecution for more than forty years. It is the single fact its members most often say outsiders do not know.
