Core tenet of The Attention Order
Attention is the only offering anyone makes.
It is spent whether or not you choose where. Everything else you might give costs something you can replace.
Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held
The Attention Order takes the Taoist idea of effortless action and inverts its emphasis: where wu wei is often read as not-forcing, the Order reads it as not-scattering. Whether the parent tradition would recognise this as descent or as a misreading is an open question inside the line, and the Order has declined to settle it.
