Core tenet of The Bahá'í Faith

Religion is one story told in chapters.

Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, the Báb, Bahá'u'lláh — one God educating one humanity through successive teachers.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held

Progressive revelation is the Bahá'í Faith's organizing idea: Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, the Báb, and Bahá'u'lláh are Manifestations of one God, each teaching what a particular age could receive. It resolves religious conflict elegantly and at a price other traditions notice: each earlier faith's claim to finality is reinterpreted rather than accepted, which is precisely why Bahá'ís are treated as apostates in Iran rather than as members of another religion.
