Lambs offered at dusk on the mountain as Exodus prescribes — the only community on earth still keeping the sacrificial Passover.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this rite is held

The Samaritan Passover is the only place where the biblical rite is still performed as described: lambs slaughtered at dusk on Mount Gerizim by the whole community, roasted whole in pits, eaten in haste. It is the one sacrifice that survived the Temple's destruction anywhere in the Israelite tradition, because Samaritans never accepted that the Temple was the only valid altar. Israeli and Palestinian visitors both attend to watch.
