Yazidism

Branch
Core tenet of Yazidism

The world is kept by seven angels.

God entrusted creation to the Heptad — remote sovereignty above, angelic administration below.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held

Yazidi cosmology has God create seven angels and delegate the world's care to them, with Melek Taus at their head — a structure closer to Gnostic and Zoroastrian patterns than to its Muslim and Christian neighbors. The seven are periodically incarnated in holy figures. God, in this arrangement, is not absent but has genuinely handed over the running of things, which makes Yazidism's practical religious attention overwhelmingly angelic.
