Core tenet of Seventh-day Adventism

The seventh day is still the Sabbath.

Saturday, by commandment unrepealed — the sign of creation kept against the calendar of Christendom.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held

Adventists keep Saturday as the Sabbath on the straightforward argument that the fourth commandment says the seventh day and was never repealed. The observance is full — sundown Friday to sundown Saturday, no work, no commerce — and it is the community's most visible marker, with real consequences for employment and schooling that have generated significant religious-liberty litigation, much of it benefiting other minorities as well.
