Rite of The Neo-American Church

The session.

The sacrament taken with a guide who does not take it, in an undisturbed room, for as long as it lasts. The church published a how-to for guides and treated the guiding, rather than the taking, as the clerical function.

Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this rite is held

The session is the church's only rite and its clerical function is the guiding, not the taking. A Boo Hoo sits with a member who has taken the sacrament, does not take it themselves, keeps the room undisturbed and lets the thing run its length. The church published a how-to for guides, which survives on the Original Kleptonian church's site and reads as practical rather than liturgical: what to say, what not to say, when to say nothing. There is no calendar and no congregational worship. Kleps regarded set forms as a corruption and the church never developed any, which is one of the absences Judge Gesell listed in 1968 when he found no ritual — a finding the church's own materials make difficult to argue with, and easy to explain.
