The Book of Shadows.
A scripture that is copied, not printed: each initiate writes their own by hand from their initiator's, so every book is both canon and genealogy.
A Book of Shadows is copied by hand from initiator to initiate, which makes each copy both a working manual and a genealogical document — you can trace a lineage through the text. Gerald Gardner's original has been published and analyzed, showing borrowings from Freemasonry, Aleister Crowley, and Kipling; Doreen Valiente rewrote much of it into the liturgy most Wiccans now use, including the Charge of the Goddess. Solitary and eclectic Wiccans typically keep their own from scratch.
