The Nineteen-Day Feast.
Worship, consultation, fellowship — the devotional and administrative heartbeat of a clergy-less faith.
The Nineteen-Day Feast occurs once each Bahá'í month and has three parts in fixed order: devotional readings, an administrative consultation where any member may raise anything with the local assembly, and a social portion. The middle part is the unusual one — the Faith builds a formal channel for grassroots criticism into its worship calendar, and the practice of consultation (frank speech, ideas belonging to the group once offered, decisions by majority) is taught as a spiritual discipline in itself.
