Expelled by the Gestapo, then again by the jungle. The Nazi state dissolved the Rhon Bruderhof in April 1937 and the members scattered to Liechtenstein and England; wartime Britain would not keep a community of German nationals, so in 1940 they sailed for Paraguay and built Primavera in the Chaco, where they stayed until 1961.
