The Moravian Church (Unitas Fratrum)

Denomination·Founded 1457 CE·The worldwide Unity is organised into provinces, mission provinces and mission areas rather than a single membership roll, and does not publish one consolidated figure. The Tanzanian provinces together account for roughly 800,000 members and are by a wide margin the largest part of the church; the historic European and North American provinces are small and shrinking.

Z Zinzendorf — the count who housed the refugees and then joined them. A Saxon nobleman raised in Halle Pietism who gave land to Moravian exiles in 1722, took over their community, was exiled from Saxony for it in 1736, was consecrated a bishop in 1737, and ran a global mission network out of a village. He wrote roughly 2,000 hymns.
