Rite of Buddhism

Taking refuge.

I go to the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sangha — the threefold entry into the path, renewed at every ceremony.

⏱ the entry to the path — and repeated always◌ anyone
Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this rite is held

The refuge formula is Buddhism's entrance and its renewal — recited at ordinations, festivals, and daily practice alike. Refuge is not shelter from the world but reorientation within it: the Buddha as proof it can be done, the Dhamma as the map, the Sangha as the company on the road.

From the sources — the passages this rests on; concise renderings, cited

To the Buddha I go for refuge. To the Dhamma I go for refuge. To the Sangha I go for refuge.
