MWC puts the wider Anabaptist family, including bodies outside its membership, at 2.03 million baptized in 87 countries. Roughly 84 percent of MWC members are African, Asian or Latin American. Baptized members only — children are not counted.

the ethic — what it asks of a life
No sword, no oath, no lawsuit against a brother. The oath is refused because Jesus refused it, which cost Mennonites civil office for centuries and won them, eventually, the right to affirm in most Western courts.
