Core tenet of Shaktism
The Goddess is the supreme power.
Shakti is not the consort of power; she is the power.
Understanding it — context, not catechism: how this passage is held
Shaktism holds that the ultimate reality is feminine — Devi, the Goddess, Shakti — and the theological move is precise: without her power, the male deities are inert. The tradition's texts say Shiva without Shakti is a corpse. It runs from gentle domestic worship of the mother to the left-hand tantric practices that deliberately invert purity rules, and it is strongest in Bengal, Assam, and the south.
